5 Facts About Tornadoes
Tornadoes
Fact 1: Tornadoes are natural forces of nature that are caused by two different weather fronts. One is a cold front and the other is a warm front. When the cold and warm fronts collide, they form severe thunderstorms. The warm front is plowed over by the cold front since it is heavier, but since warm air rises, it creates an updraft by rising up through the cold front. This causes the wind to rotate, thus taking the clouds with it. This makes it into its famous funnel cloud.
Fact 2: The minimum wind speed for a tornado to form is 60 miles per hour and the maximum is about 318 miles per hour.
Fact 3: Tornadoes can throw carboard fast enough to stab into walls!
Fact 4: When tornadoes go through deep enough water, they start carrying that water. This forms it into a waterspout.
Fact 5: If an tornado goes through a large amount of fire, it will pick up that fire and make itself a tornado made out of fire.
